The Story of Eternal Glow RW
The creation of Eternal Glow RW is a journey born out of love, grief, and healing. After the unexpected loss of my husband, Ryan, I found solace in candle making. What began as a personal coping mechanism soon transformed into something more—a way to honor Ryan's memory and carry his Eternal Glow forward.
Ryan and I met in 2003 and began our journey together soon after. We were married on Friday, May 13th, 2011—a Friday the 13th wedding that was filled with love, laughter, and the support of our families and friends. It was a beautiful day, and we never could’ve imagined that just over a decade later, our lives would change forever.
In February 2023, Ryan was suddenly admitted to the hospital, and within days, our world was turned upside down. After a series of tests, we learned that Ryan was brain dead. On February 13th, 2023, he was pronounced “legally” deceased. However, I made the choice to honor his legacy by donating his organs through LiveOnNY, allowing others to live because of his selflessness.
On February 15th, 2023, we said our final goodbyes. As my family, friends, and I walked out of the hospital, we watched as a helicopter flew away with Ryan’s heart, liver, and kidneys. His heart would beat in someone else’s chest, his liver would help someone else heal, and his kidneys would give someone else the chance to live a fuller life.
That week shattered me, but it also ignited something powerful within me. Grief became my fuel, and from it, I created something beautiful. Eternal Glow RW is more than just a candle business—it's a tribute to Ryan. Each candle represents his love, his spirit, and the light that continues to shine brightly, even in his absence. Through the warmth of the flame, Ryan’s eternal glow lives on in every candle.
By sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to hold onto their light, no matter how dark the path may seem. Just like the glow of a candle, love never fades, and memories burn brightly for all to see.
